The dry patch problem

Examples of where you may see dry patches / areas

problems with lawn hydration

Localised dry patches can occur in many guises,

from large areas to much smaller areas

mature lawns

It is very common for older / mature lawns to suffer from localised dry patches and drought has nothing to do with this natural occurring turf / lawn problem.

Rainfall or irrigation will not solve these hsitoric dry, crusty and hydrophobic areas.  Nothing will grow in these affected areas as there is no available soil moisture.

Now you can solve the problem with a Lawn Quencher Wetting Agent Tablet, applied via a Hose Diluter / Feeder

Under and around trees

The rain shadow created by the tree branches and leaves do not always allow the natural rain or irrigation to get to the base of the tree.

The natural osmotic pull of the tree’s xylem system on any available soil moisture in and around the base of the trunk will quickly starve the grass base of water.

Irrigation miss or damage

Nothing will grow without water so if the irrigation is system pop up is regularily missing a lawn area or prevailing winds are affecting the even coverage of the artifical water applied, misses will quickly show up.  Contact your irrigation team to see if they can resolve the misses.

Sometimes you can adjust the angles of degrees the pop up water stream covers each rotation, sometimes not.

These small areas will require remedial work with a wetting agent tablet via a hose diluter / feeder.

We are a nation of dog lovers but owning one can often cause havoc with your lawn.

The strong urea in their urine is similiar to a fertiliser scorch burn and the grass will grow greener around the circumference where the urea solution becomes weaker but in the middle the grass will quickly die and then a crust forms of the dead vegetation, thus becoming dry and hydrophobic to water alone.

Water with Lawn Quencher then cover with a mix of seed and a soil based compost to repair them.
